Every Monday evening, volunteer handler Kim Boedicker and Canine Companions #therapydog Dallas are on the job bringing comfort, calm and connection to families staying at the ronaldmcdonaldhouse of Central Ohio while their children receive care at the hospital. 🩵🏥 

For families who sometimes stay weeks or months at a time, they eagerly wait for Dallas’ arrival after long days at the hospital. Whether it’s a quiet cuddle, a comforting presence or simply a moment to breathe, Dallas seems to know exactly what each person needs. 🫶 

Her gentle nature has brought smiles through tears, peace during uncertainty, and even inspired one exhausted mom to curl up on the floor beside her for a much-needed moment of rest and respite.❤️ 

Kim never knows who they’ll meet each week, but one thing is certain: something truly special happens at the end of Dallas’s leash every Monday. 

Thank you, Kim and Dallas, for sharing hope, comfort and unconditional love with families when they need it most. 🩵🐾 

At Canine Companions, our core mission is to provide service dogs and facility dogs to our community. However, we also have #therapydogs who make a difference in their special ways as pets - and they're delighted to fulfill that role!

In fact, more than one-third of dogs released from our service dog training program have gone on to serve as therapy dogs, spreading more smiles, cuddles and happiness across the country. 🥰
