​Captain Juan Carlos Caguaripano Scott, First Lieutenant Jefferson García Dos Ramos, and 21 patriots of Operation David were unjustly sentenced to 30 years in prison after enduring over 8 years of pre-trial detention, severe torture, and systematic human rights violations.
​Under Articles 333 and 350 of the Venezuelan Constitution, resisting tyranny and upholding constitutional order is a duty, not a crime. No legitimate state tortures its political prisoners or uses arbitrary sentences to terrorize its people.
