Anne Hathaway is embracing getting older - and says turning 40 gave her a whole new perspective on life.

Speaking to PEOPLE, the 43-year-old actress said she's no longer interested in 'living an awkward life' and instead wants to 'get to the fun part.'

She also said aging has taught her to take things less seriously, adding: 'I really value the chill.'

Hathaway said she's embracing the uncertainty of getting older because 'you still never know what’s coming around the corner.'
