Search and rescue efforts intensified Friday in Gyirong County, China's Xizang Autonomous Region, as teams reached the hardest hit area by Wednesday mudslide.⁣

Five people were killed and 558 remained missing as of 3 p.m. Friday, according to the regional emergency management department.⁣
