Sea level rise is no longer a future threat. It is accelerating now, with sea levels projected to rise by up to 30 cm by 2050, which could cause the displacement of as many as 1.2 billion people.

"Rising seas are sinking futures," said #UnitedNations Secretary-General antonioguterres.

“They endanger coastlines, livelihoods - the very existence of States themselves.”
