There was plenty of preseason chatter as nearly 40 teams gathered in the gym at Yorktown High School on Tuesday for the Section 1 Football Coaches Association Media Day.

It's the fourth year of the event, which spotlights the players and coaches.

"I think it's great for Section 1 football and great for all of these athletes who might not otherwise have the opportunity to meet with the media," said Bronxville coach and media day founder Patsy Manganelli. "It's a chance to wear their jersey with pride and promote Section 1 football. If they want to be successful in the real world, they have to communicate so while the nerves kick in here, I think it's a great experience for them overall."

We again took an informal poll of the coaches and players on hand, asking them to list, in order, the top three programs in their respective classifications. Participants were not allowed to vote for their own teams.
