Five weeks in Namibia with a rooftop tent, a backseat filled with camera gear, and our AeroPress. #AeroPressPartner ☕️🇳🇦 

This country is enormous and mostly empty and feels like a different planet. 

We camped against a sand dune in the Hoanib Valley and watched elephants graze through a dried up riverbed. We hiked through the orange Mars-like mountains at Spitzkoppe and fell asleep watching shooting stars. We walked out to Deadvlei and stared up at trees that died 600 years ago and still haven’t fallen over.

We also had our fair share of wrong turns, flat tires, forgotten firewood, and empty fuel tanks during stretches of nothing for hundreds of miles. 😅 Namibia is an adventure in every sense of the word.

Weeks prior, as we were packing for this grand Africa expedition, Sean actually suggested we bring instant coffee. 🫣 I asked if he’d lost his mind. “We might be camping, but we don’t need to punish ourselves.”

So we packed a couple AeroPresses, which turned into a ritual we looked forward to every day. Five minutes to heat the water, grind the beans, brew the coffee, hear that satisfying little ‘hiss’ when the plunger hits the bottom… and then sit on a rock somewhere we’d probably never sit again, in a part of the world most people will never see.

And let me tell you, that tiny thing makes the BEST cup of coffee you’ve ever had in the middle of nowhere.
