Well… the cat’s out of the bag. 🙈 

I’m SO INCREDIBLY excited to finally announce that I’ll be competing on Season 9 of @masterchefcda as the youngest of 16 home cooks from across the country. 🇨🇦🧑‍🍳 

For those of you who know me, you’ll know I’ve been obsessed with the MasterChef franchise since I was a literal baby. I’d stay up until 3 a.m. during the summer, streaming the latest episodes of @masterchefau, completely enamoured by the contestants’ passion for food and hoping that one day, maybe, just maybe, I’d get to be there too.

My Nani used to be a chef, so food has always played a huge role in my life. As a confused third-culture kid who has lived across Kuwait, Canada, and Australia, with roots in India and East Africa, food has always been a way for me to ground myself and connect with my heritage. And despite only having been cooking for six years, it’s become so much more than just something I love to do. It’s how I tell stories, reconnect with my culture, learn about my history and the world around me, and let my wildest creativity shine. 

There’s so much more to come as this journey unfolds, but for now… tune in on September 22nd at 7 p.m. ET/PT on @ctv (and @cravecanada the next day) for the Season 9 premiere, “Battle Wellington,” to see me battle it out for a white apron, featuring a special guest appearance from @gordongram. 👀 

And yes… we really did have to cook his Beef Wellington. 😳
