🚨 WEEK 1 RECAP: Wednesday Night Lights 🚨

Week 1 came in HOT.

We had close games, statement wins, BeastMode forfeits, and an overtime thriller that already feels like it belongs in the league highlight reel.

Lobb Deep gave us the game of the night, edging Honey Badgers 34 to 33 in overtime. John Fantazia led the attack, while Brian Barnett looked like a full-time problem with 17 catches, 214 yards, and 5 TDs.

Even with the loss, Honey Badgers showed they are still one of the teams to beat. Justin Collins was dealing at QB with 596 passing yards and 11 TDs, while Andre Norles did everything: 15 catches, 209 yards, 5 TDs, and an INT. Ali Raza also went crazy with 5 TDs, and Marlon Mendez added big-time production on both sides.

Weapon X started strong behind Chros Ordonez, who completed 24 of 26 passes for 345 yards and 4 TDs. Michael Scott, Jonathan Mendaros, Elvis Blanco, and Onassis Siordia all found the end zone, but the Honey Badgers handed them a tough 27 to 6 loss to close the night.

East Bay Eagles bounced back strong after a close loss to Honey Badgers. David Duarte protected the ball with 5 TDs and 0 INTs, while Kevin McArdle and Day’Marr Johnson both made big plays in their win over Lobb Deep.

Los Diablos may be 1 and 2, but don’t let the record fool you. Chris Estrada was sharp with 328 passing yards and 5 TDs, and Jamal Jackson was a two-way monster with offensive production, a rushing TD, and 2 interceptions on defense.

BeastMode forfeited all 3 games, so Week 2 is simple: show up and make some noise.
