Jane Austen’s 200-year-old "Sense and Sensibility" is getting a "fresh and funny" new take starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles as Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne.

"Even though it’s set during that time period, you feel for the girls. They feel like they exist today," daisyedgarjones tells EW. "It feels both like an escape from today’s world, but it also feels really like a 2026 version of this film. And that’s really cool."

While this film really hinges on the sisters' chemistry, there is still a romance aspect with George MacKay as Edward Ferrars, a deeply honorable man who piques Elinor’s interest.
