Congratulations to Rob Whitney, Jr. ’03, recipient of the Alumni Achievement Award!
Rob Whitney, Jr. serves as Senior Vice President of Innovation, Growth and Strategy at Univar Solutions, a global leader in chemical and ingredient distribution. In this executive leadership role, he drives worldwide business growth through strategic marketing, commercial operations, and innovation, helping connect customers and suppliers with solutions that create lasting impact.
Throughout his career, Rob has built expertise across marketing, communications, commercial operations, and government affairs in both the public and private sectors. His leadership experience includes serving in the U.S. Department of Transportation during the George W. Bush administration, holding senior leadership roles with the American Bureau of Shipping, and leading award-winning teams at Univar Solutions that advance organizational growth and innovation.
A 2003 graduate of Christopher Newport University with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Rob also earned a master’s degree in Corporate Communications from Georgetown University and completed the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he has dedicated more than two decades to volunteer leadership through Scouting America, mentoring and empowering young people in his community.
