That Rams-Seahawks Thursday Night Football game on December 18th was as intense as NFC West football gets. The Rams scored first in overtime when Matthew Stafford connected with Puka Nacua on a 41-yard touchdown, making it 37-30, and Nacua finished the night with 12 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns. But Seattle answered right back, coming from a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit and beating the Rams 38-37 to take a one-game lead in the NFC West.

Sam Darnold found Jaxon Smith-Njigba for a touchdown in overtime, then Mike Macdonald went for the win instead of the tie, and Darnold delivered a two-point conversion to Eric Saubert to seal it. Both quarterbacks were slinging it all night and neither defense could get a stop when it mattered most, that’s the kind of division rivalry game that decides seasons.
