He posed as a 49ers wide receiver for years, complete with a helmet, custom jerseys, and even Google AI Overview results falsely confirming he played for San Francisco, all to convince women online he was a real NFL player.

Turns out it wasn’t just a harmless flex, prosecutors say he and an accomplice used that fake persona to scam 26 women out of roughly $1.3 million between 2022 and his arrest in August 2026. From fake bank accounts to prop money to borrowed 49ers gear, that’s a level of commitment to a lie that’s almost hard to wrap your head around.
