#HakeemJeffries caught heat after news broke that he met privately with #JaredKushner, at Kushner’s request, to talk affordability, housing, immigration and where there could be room to work together. Jeffries says the meeting does NOT mean Trumpworld gets a pass on accountability.

And that raises a question: if you’re trying to govern, do you have to sit across from people you fundamentally disagree with?
