At just 20 years old, Surendra Singh Choudhry, known online as Bittu Tabahi, decided to do something about the pollution in his hometown. 👏

He began cleaning the heavily polluted Ajnar River in Madhya Pradesh, removing plastic, garbage and other waste by hand.

What started with help from friends eventually became a largely solo mission. Bittu has spent months cleaning different stretches of the river, using his own time and money to make a difference. His before-and-after transformations have now inspired thousands online and earned him praise for showing what one person can accomplish when they simply decide to start.
