Poster design & branding for Homeclub, a new gallery showing by my long time friend thesimoneandrea 🌟- my original idea was inspired by the musical ‘Sweet Charity’ poster. When I think about the inspo and the final result, I find it funny because I honestly didn’t think about it, but it made so much sense. I find it is so interesting how showgirls and musicals find themselves in a common point intersection, yet people choose to treat them completely different, and that’s exactly what this gallery is trying to achieve, a visual study behind the veil of a dancer and a showgirl. I love starting with a rough blocking. I usually always have an idea for the text first, or the diagram, it makes it so much easier to create having a set boundary for what your head is seeing. I also will forget it if I don’t do this.

The inspo. I love sharing what inspired me, because that’s the one thing I wish all of my favorite artists would share.
