Coffee beans are generally best stored at a cool, stable room temperature, ideally around 15–25°C, in an airtight container away from heat, light and moisture. Keeping them consistently cool helps preserve the aromatic compounds and oils responsible for the flavour in your cup.⁠

When it comes to brewing, the water temperature is the crucial part. The Specialty Coffee Association recommends water at around 93°C, with an acceptable range of approximately 92–96°C. Water that's too hot can contribute to harsher flavours, while water that's too cool may leave your coffee tasting weak or under-extracted.⁠
