Arkansas closed out a perfect opening weekend at the Razorback Invitational, beating UTSA 3-1 by scores of 25-21, 25-20, 22-25, 25-17, completing a tournament sweep that included wins over SIUE and UT Arlington earlier in the weekend.

The match stayed tight throughout the opening set, with UTSA tying the score at 16-16 before Arkansas answered with a four-point burst, capped by a big kill from Laci Bohannan, to close it out 25-21. Arkansas took control of the second set behind kills from Bohannan and Lakin Laurendine, rolling to a 25-20 win to move ahead two sets to none. UTSA finally found its footing in the third, snapping Arkansas's undefeated weekend momentum for the first time by claiming a 25-22 win after building an early 13-6 cushion the Razorbacks could never fully erase despite a seven-point run. Arkansas regrouped in the fourth and closed out the match comfortably, 25-17.

Arkansas's offense was paced by a strong trio: Bohannan finished with a team-high 15 kills while hitting .414, Laurendine added 14 kills on a .237 clip, and Romani Thurman also chipped in 14 kills on a team-best .444 hitting percentage while anchoring the defense with four blocks. Junior setter Kiki Remensperger recorded her first double-double of the season with 39 assists and 13 digs, and freshman libero Madi Benne added nine digs and two aces, including the match-winning point.

The win capped a perfect 3-0 weekend for Arkansas, a program that finished just 5-22 a season ago and was already more than halfway to matching that win total. UTSA fell to 1-2 on the young season. Arkansas continues its non-conference slate looking to build on the historic turnaround, while UTSA looks to regroup on the road.
