Georgia State battled to a 1-1 draw at Auburn, a result made all the more notable by the fact that both teams finished the match a man down after red cards on each side.

Auburn struck first, with Dylan Driver opening the scoring in the 13th minute off an assist from Kennedy Husbands and Jordyn Crosby. Georgia State answered just nine minutes later, as forward Aaliyah Faddoul stole the ball and buried it in the 22nd minute for her seventh goal of the season, leveling the match at 1-1. Junior goalkeeper Alondra Iriarte made three saves in the first half to help keep the score tied.

The match took a dramatic turn just before halftime when Auburn's Grace Ivey was shown a red card for an aggressive tackle deemed fighting or violent behavior, forcing the Tigers to play the rest of the match with only 10 players. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Auburn's defense held firm, limiting Georgia State to just two shots and requiring only one save over the final 45 minutes. The Panthers couldn't capitalize on the man advantage, and the game evened out further in the 74th minute when Georgia State's Lily Sawyer was shown a red card, leaving both sides to finish the match with 10 players apiece.

The draw moved Georgia State to 2-2-1 on the season, marking the program's second result against an SEC opponent in the last two years. Auburn moved to 3-0-2 on the year under second-year head coach James Armstrong. Georgia State returns home to Atlanta to face ETSU next, while Auburn continues its season looking to build on an unbeaten start.
