Little Rock 0, Arkansas 9
Razorback Field, Fayetteville, AR. August 30, 2026

Arkansas soccer earned its first win of the 2026 season emphatically, routing Little Rock 9-0 behind seven different goal scorers, with senior forward Bella Field getting things started with a blistering opening burst.

Field needed just three minutes to make her mark, opening the scoring in the second minute off a deflected cross from a free kick taken by junior midfielder Aniyah Nurse-Whyte, then doubling the lead 35 seconds later by pouncing on a mishit clearance. The quick 2-0 start alone matched Arkansas's entire goal total from its first four matches of the season. Freshman midfielder Jordan Bryant extended the lead to 3-0 in the 27th minute, finishing off a cross from sophomore forward Natalie Wagner, and also picked up her first career goal in the process.

The rout continued from there. Kennedy Ball, Wagner, MacKenzie Gwin, Paige Szymanski and Kayla Morawietz each added a goal of their own, with five different Razorbacks scoring their first collegiate goals in the match: Bryant, Gwin, Szymanski, Morawietz and Aynsley Nuckols. Three Razorbacks also recorded their first career assists, including Szymanski, Ivy Harding and Nuria Craig. Field finished with a brace, her third career multi-goal effort, falling just short of what would have been her second career hat trick.

Head coach Colby Hale praised his team's ability to keep its foot on the gas rather than easing off after building a big early lead, emphasizing the importance of finishing games strong. The win improved Arkansas to 1-3-1 on the season after a rough start that included losses to ranked North Carolina and Clemson. Little Rock, which had opened its own season with a draw against ULM and a win at Arkansas State, fell to 1-3-1. Arkansas closes out non-conference play at home against Jackson State next, before opening SEC play against Texas.
