#TSRTrialWatch: It looks like the jury in the #LindsayClancy murder trial is still unable to come to a verdict.

According to cbsnews, after more than 27 hours of deliberations, the jury still remains deadlocked. This is the second time that they have notified the judge that they were unable to reach a verdict.

As a result, Judge William Sullivan read the “Tuey-Rodriguez” instructions to the jury, which is a last resort to get the jurors to reach a verdict. It’s noted that this instruction is also known as the “dynamite charge.”

Clancy is currently being charged with the first-degree murders of her three children in their Duxbury home on January 24, 2023. The jurors can unanimously vote for one of five verdicts, which are not guilty by reason of insanity, not guilty, first-degree murder, second-degree murder, or manslaughter.

According to apnews, if the jurors cannot reach a verdict, the judge could declare a mistrial, and prosecutors would have to decide whether to put Clancy on trial again, drop the charges, or try to negotiate a plea deal with her legal team.
