Bank of America vice president #ErinPiacenti passed away after being stabbed during an apparently random attack in Times Square on Monday.

According to authorities, a woman armed with multiple knives allegedly stabbed two people, including Piacenti and a 68-year-old man. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the attacks appeared to be random and unprovoked.

Police reportedly used tasers on the suspect before firing their weapons after she allegedly continued advancing toward them with knives. The suspect also passed away.

Piacenti was taken to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Bank of America called her a “valued teammate” and expressed condolences to her family and loved ones.
