#TSRUpdatez: Singer #D4vd has a switch-up in his legal team as he continues to face charges for the murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

According to tmztv, D4vd’s now-former legal team, Blair Berk, Marilyn Bednarski, and Regina Peter, told the judge they would not be able to continue to represent the singer. A reason why they could no longer represent him was reportedly not mentioned.

Berk, Bednarski, and Peter said in a statement to the outlet, “This morning, the court granted our request to withdraw as counsel and appointed the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, after it was determined David qualified for appointed counsel.”

They continued, “We continue to support David and his defense against these serious charges. We are grateful that the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office has taken over the representation and that David has a highly capable and committed team of attorneys and investigators behind him.”

NBCNews reports that D4vd’s new attorney is Walid Fouad Kandeel. He asked that Monday’s arraignment be continued so he could study the case, but that request was denied.
