The first day of Brussels Diamond League action ends on a high as the fastest men’s 400m since the Paris Olympic final thrills the Belgian crowd. goflo400m 🇧🇼 used his signature closing speed to secure the win and move up to #5 all-time with another Diamond League record, running 43.40 to reel in early leader Jereem Richards 🇹🇹.

Richards is rewarded for his bravery with a 43.68 personal best in second, as Jacory Patterson 🇺🇸 (43.78) and Chris Bailey (43.97) round out the sub-44s. The top four all set lifetime bests, only the second time ever four men finished under 44 in the same race.
