## Caption

JUST IN: Olympic 100m champion and reigning 200m World champion Noah Lyles’ season is over. 

He will NOT compete at the World Ultimate Championships due to a setback in his injury from the USATF Outdoor Championships, where he pulled up with a cramp in the 200m final.

In an Instagram video, Lyles said: “Unfortunately, after running at USAs, we found out that we had a small strain – not very serious. The rehab that we were putting together was going extremely well. Unfortunately, because of the strain, it caused some other things to flare up. It’s made it hard for me to continue practicing. We just decided that we’ll end the season here, get ready for 2027 and 2028 – which are going to be humongous years.”

Lyles will still be in Budapest to fulfill his duties as the host of the athlete-only after-party.
