6 years of doing the Outer Banks, so at this point we definitely have our FAVORITES ⬇️ If you’re planning an OBX trip, SAVE THIS because these are a few places and things we’ve genuinely loved this year! 🍴 RESTAURANTS * Paper Canoe — we go here every year at the end of our trip! * Trio — great drinks, great food and a fun market too * Mama Kwan’s — such a good casual lunch spot * Ocean Boulevard — the menu is delicious, and those lamb chops were the best I’ve had in a minute 🙌🏾 ☕️ COFFEE * Shore Coffee Roasters — tried it for the first time this year, went twice and loved it! * Duck’s Cottage — grab a coffee, matcha or pastry and walk around the Duck Boardwalk 🍩 SWEETS * Duck Donuts — I mean…when in Duck. 😂 It originated here, so this is mandatory. * Donutz on a Stick — we love it! Ice cream + donuts never miss! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 WITH THE KIDS * Currituck Beach Lighthouse — did this for the first time and it was so much fun! Must be 4+ to climb. * Currituck Maritime Museum — right across from the lighthouse, FREE and interactive * Lost Treasure Golf — the kids LOVE riding the little mining train up to start the course * Island Bookstore — cutest bookstore ever! Such a good selection, we spent an hour here 🥰 * Turf’s Up — such a fun switch-up from the beach! * Town of Duck — SO many free family activities throughout the summer like story time, chalk art, magic shows, concerts and more * Nor’Banks Sailing — we use them every year for our excursions and they always take great care of us! * Rent bikes and ride the path through Duck. One of the simplest things we do, but always one of our favorites. * Beach, beach, beach and more beach.
