The 2024 Polestar 2 offers two distinct powertrains: the single-motor Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) uses an 82 kWh battery producing 299 hp with an EPA-estimated range of 320 miles, while the dual-motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) utilizes a 78 kWh battery producing 421 hp with an EPA-estimated range of 276 miles.

The optional Plus Pack adds a panoramic glass roof, a heat pump, a 13-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, power front seats with driver memory, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. The Pilot Pack—which comes standard on the Dual Motor AWD model and is optional on the RWD model—adds Pilot Assist adaptive cruise control with lane centering, a 360-degree camera system, blind-spot monitoring with steer assist, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Software is centered around a touchscreen running Google built-in with an integrated EV route planner and wired Apple CarPlay support.
