Starting his JUNIOR YEAR!! Man… where did the time go? 🥹

Being your father has been one of the greatest blessings and biggest responsibilities of my life. And I’m not gonna sit here and act like every step was easy. We’ve had ups, we’ve had downs, I’ve made mistakes, I’ve had moments where I questioned if I was doing everything right… but one thing I can ALWAYS say is that I’ve tried my hardest to be the best father I could possibly be to you.
And watching you grow into the young man you are becoming makes it all worth it. ❤️

Everybody knows me as the comedian. The basketball guy. Coach Ghee. Gheefunny. 😂🏀 But one of the things I’m MOST proud of in this life is simply being SHAWN’S DAD.

To watch my son become a FIVE-STAR BROADWAY STAR ⭐️🎭… to watch his talent, confidence, personality, work ethic and heart continue to grow… man, sometimes I really have to sit back and say, “Damn… THAT’S MY SON.” 😭❤️

I don’t pat myself on the back much as a father because I know there’s ALWAYS more work to do. But today I’m proud. Proud of HIM. Proud of US. Proud of how far we’ve come.

And I also know it takes a VILLAGE. 🙏🏾 I’m forever thankful for every single person who has poured into Shawn, loved him, corrected him, encouraged him, taught him, protected him and helped me raise the young man you see today. This wasn’t done alone, and I’ll never act like it was.

Son, we still have a long way to go. Life is just getting started for you. Keep working. Keep being humble. Keep being YOU. Keep chasing every dream God put in your heart.

I hope you have an AMAZING junior year.
And no matter how old you get, how big the stage gets, or where life takes you…
