Why is it (the art) so expensive? 

Because it took years to refine the skills 
Countless late nights to dream up the ideas 
And my whole life to merge the skills and creativity to make these pieces a reality. 

It’s not just a piece, but the countless trials and errors that came before each piece. Most people who are skilled at something will make it look easy. I remember seeing a figure skater, she made it look so effortless. Like she was flying. My brain thought “so effortless I could do it”. Obviously I can’t. That would take years and years of refining a craft to achieve that level. And even then, I don’t think everyone has the capacity to reach that. People have skills they naturally will excel at. 

Art is the same. People see a finished product and think perhaps it is easy to make. It is not. And that is what makes a piece so amazing. It took the artist skills, creativity, and craftsmanship to merge the two in a perfect melody.
