James and I both have South Asian heritage, so there was something quite fitting about the two of us sitting in the Sky Sports studio having that conversation. Hopefully, the more we see South Asians across all areas of football and the media, the less noteworthy that becomes. It should just be normal. Hard to believe we are now only a month away from the asianfootballawards .. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes at the moment. We’re working our way through all the nominations, pulling everything together for the judging, doing the PR and media interviews, and working with our sponsors, partners and suppliers on everything that needs to happen between now and 29 September. It’s always at this point that you realise just how much goes into putting an event like this together! We’re expecting around 400 people at The Clementine, Syon Park in West London, and it’s shaping up to be a really good night. There’s still time to get involved too.
