It’s all in a day’s work for the former football player selected from a casting call of 2,000 aspiring actors to lead FOX’s highly-anticipated ‘Baywatch’ reboot. Alongside Stephen Amell, Shay Mitchell, fellow Breakthrough Listee Noah Beck, and Livvy Dunne, LaGrone will don the iconic red swimsuit, picking up right where David Hasselhoff left off. This December, the booked-and-busy actor will also appear in the NFL-themed film ‘Mr. Irrelevant’ with Michael Shannon and Isabel May (another listee!), plus Dan Fogelman’s ‘The Land,’ a football drama starring Mandy Moore, William H. Macy, and Christopher Meloni.

What pop culture moment lives rent-free in your head?
When Gollum first hit the screen in ‘Lord of the Rings,’ my friends and I couldn’t stop saying, “my precious.” I’m a big Gollum fan.
