Priyanka Kedia pkwizzles | Landing a series regular role on Netflix can make an actor’s career (hello, LaverneCox, MillieBobbyBrown, et cetera). Up next? #PriyankaKedia, the star of ‘Best of the Best’ (September 18), which follows two college friends as they enter the world of competitive Bollywood dance. Written by comedian/actor Hasan Minhaj and Prashanth Venkataramanujam, the film is being touted as the new ‘Bring It On.’ This summer, Kedia made her feature film debut in ‘Disclosure Day,’ directed by none other than Steven Spielberg. You can’t blame her parents’ reaction when, while bawling, Kedia shared the Spielberg casting news over the phone: “Oh, thank God no one died.”

Priyanka Kedia pkwizzles | What was your first job?
I worked at a deep dish pizza restaurant doing everything: waitressing, takeout, phones, bussing, food prep. Food service is no joke, but I loved it.

Who do you think is about to have a breakthrough year?
Naomi Scott is having this reemergence right now as she transitions into music and I’m obsessed with her new record, F.I.G.

Who should play you in your biopic?
My dream would be Paul W. Downs and Megan Stalter at the same time.
