Although she spent about two weeks in Denmark in 2010, Shannon Weber will soon see more of the European nation than ever after winning a lottery.

And it’s not just the run she’s excited about — Weber’s dad was born in Denmark and she still has family living there, so the Butler Township resident won more than a chance to enter the marathon.

“My dream is to just get my kids there with my parents so they can see like where their heritage is and where my dad was born,” Weber said Saturday, Aug. 22.
