1 large egg, room temperature
55 g sugar — about ¼ cup
50 g butter — 3½ tbsp
50 ml whole milk
75 g all-purpose flour — about ⅔ cup
7 g unsweetened cocoa powder — about 1 tbsp
¾ tsp baking powder
¾ tsp vanilla sugar
Tiny pinch of salt

Traditional coffee-cocoa icing

20 g butter — about 1½ tbsp
20 ml very strong brewed coffee — 1 tbsp + 1 tsp
60–65 g powdered sugar — about ½ cup
6–7 g cocoa powder — about 1 tbsp
½ tsp vanilla sugar
Rainbow nonpareils / sprinkles
