Alex Warren surprises the students of PS 111 in Queens, New York City with an unforgettable creativity class exploring self-expression, imagination, and the many ways we can turn our ideas into something real. This episode of Celebrity Substitute gives students an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how creativity can become the starting point for making music, telling stories, and bringing big ideas to life.

First, Alex talks with the students about the different outlets for creativity, from music and art to storytelling and beyond. Then, he challenges the class to put their imaginations to work by helping him come up with a concept for a music video for his new song “Emerald Eyes.”
The students take the lead, pitching their own creative ideas and imagining what the music video could look like. Alex takes their suggestions and turns them into a plan, putting the students’ ideas directly into action.

The lesson culminates with Alex and the students filming their very own music video for “Emerald Eyes” at PS 111. From developing the concept to stepping in front of the camera, the kids get to see their creativity come to life and experience what it takes to turn an idea into a finished music video. It’s a celebration of imagination, collaboration, and the power of giving young people the opportunity to create.
