Researchers at Imperial College London developed an AI system that can identify hidden heart disease years before symptoms appear, outperforming standard risk scores and, in testing, even experienced cardiologists.

The bigger shift is prevention.

If AI can reliably identify risk earlier, medicine moves from reacting to heart disease after damage is done toward intervening before the event ever happens.
