Metro 2039 takes players back underground as The Stranger, a reclusive survivor haunted by violent waking nightmares who is forced to return to the one place he swore he would never go—the Metro. Moscow’s survivors are now united beneath the fanatical Spartan Hunter, whose oppressive Novoreich regime maintains control through propaganda and fear while preparing for a new war on the surface.

Developed by 4A Games and published by Deep Silver, Metro 2039 is a story-driven first-person shooter combining exploration, survival, combat, stealth, and horror in the devastated ruins and underground tunnels of Moscow. The game continues the universe inspired by Dmitry Glukhovsky’s Metro novels and launches in February 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
