This gamescom 2026 Gameplay Demo offers a closer look at the game's flexible combat system, allowing Makoto to independently control his left and right sides to attack, defend, counter, grapple enemies, and unleash powerful finishing blows. Players can also wield and upgrade a variety of weapons including knives, hammers, swords, and more as they battle through the dangerous streets of each era.

Stranger Than Heaven is a new action-adventure from RGG Studio, the creators of the Like a Dragon series. The story spans five decades and locations inspired by Kokura in 1915, Kure in 1929, Osaka in 1943, Atami in 1951, and Shinjuku in 1965, while also introducing show-business mechanics that let Makoto discover performers, create music, assemble bands, and produce live performances. Stranger Than Heaven launches January 15, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass.
