This gamescom 2026 Extended Gameplay Demo offers a deeper look at Stranger Than Heaven's combat, weapons, environments, and historical settings. Players independently control Makoto's left and right sides to throw light and heavy strikes, block and counter attacks, grapple enemies, perform ground attacks, and wield weapons including knives, swords, hammers, and more.

Stranger Than Heaven is a new action-adventure from RGG Studio, the creators of the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series. Its story spans five decades and five eras of Japan, following Makoto through locations including Kokura in 1915, Kure in 1929, Osaka in 1943, Atami in 1951, and Shinjuku in 1965. Alongside its gritty combat and crime-driven story, the game features show business mechanics that allow Makoto to discover performers, create music, assemble bands, and produce live shows. Stranger Than Heaven launches January 15, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
