Weā€™re so excited to celebrateā€¦ Cara Lehmitz, Class of 2026 pin hitter who is playing at Yale University this fall! Cara is continuing her volleyball career close to home in New Haven, competing at the Division I level in the Ivy League and following in the footsteps of NEVBC Director and Yale Volleyball alum Cat Minyard! Cara is the definition of an all-around player. She can terminate from the pin, but what makes her so valuable is everything else she does at such a high level. Sheā€™s a fantastic server, defender, and passer and is the type of six-rotation player you can trust to impact the game in so many different ways. Sheā€™s also a selfless teammate who is always willing to do whatever her team needs to win. ā€œI never get tired of hearing our athletes tell me they committed, but this one hit extra close to home for me! Cara is joining a storied program in Yale Volleyball that has a culture of not only winning, but building great people and teammates. Cara has pushed herself beyond what she thought she could do these past few years, getting out of her comfort zone consistently and working tirelessly at all the parts of her very versatile game. She put in the work to create this opportunity, and we couldnā€™t be prouder.
