Krishna loved Makhan.
But should you? 💛

Makkhan is a Janmashtami favourite, but like every fat, the portion matters.

Compared with ghee, makkhan is slightly lower in calories and also provides fat-soluble vitamins like Vitamins A, D, E and K.

Here’s a quick comparison per 10 g 👇

🧈 Makkhan (White Butter): ~72–75 calories
🥄 Ghee: ~88–90 calories
🧈 Butter: ~72–75 calories

If you’re watching your salt intake, homemade unsalted makkhan can also be a better option than salted butter.

But remember, makkhan, butter and ghee are all calorie-dense fats, so enjoy them mindfully.

Happy Janmashtami! ✨
