Sometimes I forget to stop and actually look at how far I’ve come. 🥹❤️

I’m Samantha Samaka, aka **OKAAYSAMi** 🧿✨

Born in Nigeria 🇳🇬, raised in Toronto 🇨🇦, and now finding my way through New York City 🗽… my journey has taken me places I honestly never could’ve predicted.

I’ve always been a creative at heart. Music 🎶, acting 🎬, film, media, fashion, pageantry 👑, storytelling… I’ve never really known how to choose just one thing because there are so many parts of creating that I love.

From being blessed with opportunities like the Roc Nation School scholarship 🎓❤️, being part of creative communities like HXOUSE, performing, creating, producing, building my own projects, and meeting so many incredible people along the way — every experience has taught me something.

And truthfully, none of it has been perfect.

There have been moments where I felt lost, moments where things didn’t work out, moments where I wondered if I was actually good enough, and moments where I had absolutely no idea what I was doing 😭😂

But I kept going.

I’m still learning. Still growing. Still figuring myself out. Still making mistakes. Still trying things that scare me. And I think that’s what makes this journey so special. 🤍

I don’t have everything figured out, and I don’t want to pretend that I do.

I just know that I love creating. I love connecting with people. I love telling stories. I love making something out of an idea that started in my head. And I’m incredibly grateful that I get to keep doing that. 🥹✨

There are so many people who have supported me, believed in me, opened a door for me, encouraged me, collaborated with me, or simply told me “keep going” when I needed to hear it.

I appreciate you more than you know. ❤️
