The ousted superintendent of Dohn Community High School and his business associate are accused of defrauding taxpayers of millions of dollars and using that money to pay for luxury vehicles and a vacation rental property in Florida.

Ramone Davenport and Larry Ballew face numerous counts of wire fraud and money laundering in federal court in Cincinnati as part of an indictment unsealed on Sept. 3. FBI agents in Cincinnati arrested Davenport early that same day, while federal authorities in Arizona arrested Ballew.

The indictment comes after a roughly two-year investigation in the aftermath of Davenport's firing amid fraud and financial mismanagement allegations.
