🚨 Jett Lawrence to Sit Out SuperMotocross Playoffs Due to Ongoing Ankle injury 🚨

Wow, some breaking news here late this evening as Jett Lawrence has announced he will skip the upcoming three rounds of the SuperMotocross Playoffs. The three-time and defending 450SMX Champion has been dealing with the ankle injury he suffered back in December 2025 all year, forcing him to miss SupercrossLIVE entirely. He gave it a hell of an effort in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship before finishing second to his brother.  Now, he has announced he will skip this year's SMX Playoffs and instead undergo surgery on September 9 in Colorado.

So, we will crown a new, first-time 450SMX World Champion at the Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Missouri on September 26.  Jett Lawrence posted the following to his Instagram, announcing the news: "I have made the decision with my team to sit out the SMX series to get my ankle back to 100% for the longevity of my career. I suffered through the summer and did everything I could but my ankle hasn’t felt right since the start of the season and it’s even worse after Ironman. I want to do everything I can to get back to being me. The most important thing is that I get back to being pain-free as I work towards next year. I appreciate my team, family, and fans! See you soon ❤️" 

For the playoffs, the Honda HRC Progressive team will have Hunter Lawrence racing 450SMX and Chance Hymas and Jo Shimoda in action in 250SMX.
