With only one accounting class offered at SM East, students were seeking a deeper dive into the material, so business teacher Jessica Krievins decided to offer an independent study of advanced accounting.

The role of this advanced accounting study is to pick up where the first accounting class left off and to go more in-depth into material not covered.

Senior Holden Mann is one of the three students in the independent study this year and wanted to take it because of the practice and career insight the course will give him in the subject.
