Up next for #SectionSpotlights, meet the Clarinet leadership!

Allison Yadmark is a junior serving her first season as section leader, with past leadership experience as a rank leader candidate. At U-M, she is studying information analysis within the School of Information, with minors in German and music. As a message to incoming and future members of the MMB, “Be confident in your abilities! If you start to doubt yourself, think about all the hard work that you did to get where you are.”

Hayden O’Neal is a senior serving her first season as rank leader, with past experience as a rank leader candidate. At U-M, she is studying psychology with minors in music and community action & social change. This semester, she will begin her graduate degree in social work at UMich. “Being a leader in the MMB has taught me resilience. It is crucial to take care of yourself to be able to show up for your section and the MMB. I've learned to treat myself with the same kindness and patience that I offer to others.”

Drew Ellis is a senior serving his second season as rank leader. At U-M, he is studying economics with a minor in music. After graduation, he intends to work in accounting. “Being a leader in the MMB has taught me the importance of passing on the knowledge I have gained from my time in college. I hope that it will be passed down after me to inspire the next generation of leaders.”

Audrey Stocker is a junior serving her first season as rank leader. At U-M, she is studying environmental policy, international studies and German. “My advice to any aspiring student leaders is to trust and be kind to yourself throughout the process. Be confident in yourself and always bring a positive attitude, it will spread to others and really make a difference!”

Heather Hale is a junior serving her first season as rank leader. At U-M, she is studying psychology and secondary education. She is also working toward a teaching endorsement in math. “Being a leader in the MMB has taught me that creativity is so important in education. Working to come up with different ways to explain concepts can really make a difference in adapting to learning styles.”
