Thank you to Mother African Union Church & Dr. Ronald Whitaker dr.ron.whitaker for awarding me with the “Freedom & Justice Award” last week at their August Quarterly for my work with The KING Movement thekingmovement. Mother African Union in Wilmington, Delaware, founded by Rev. Peter Spencer in 1813, was the first incorporated religious institution in America controlled entirely by African-Americans. It’s August Quarterly, first held in 1814,  is the oldest & longest-running African-American Festival in US history. #freedom #justice #socialjustice #blackhistory
