Matteo Banfo took the Sigma 20-60mm F2.8-4 DG Contemporary on a work trip through Florida, Wisconsin, Mississippi and New York, mounted to his Sony A7 IV the entire time. No studio tests, just real shoots grabbed between projects: moonlight breaking apart on the water at night, brick facades in flat daylight, a dog that ran by too fast to think about settings, and sunrise timelapses squeezed in before calls.

Along the way he gets into how the lens performs where it counts: low light and reflections, close-focus distance, how the HLA autofocus keeps up with movement, and how the F2.8-4 variable aperture behaves in daylight versus after dark. All of that in a 385g body small enough to keep up with a five-day, four-state pace. He also revisits his history with Sigma, back to the first lens he bought after outgrowing his kit lens.
