## Caption

In this video, I photograph wildlife that is small in the frame. I go to Dovrefjell in Norway to photograph Musk Oxen. The advised safety distance is 200 meters, which calls for a long focal length, beyond 600mm. I explore the options including using teleconverters, DX mode and how you can make sure your subjects doesn’t blend into the surroundings, which is the number one problem when photographing subjects that are far away. They are often well camouflaged and blend with the environment. However, with a few tips, you can make your subject pop in the landscape, even though it is far away.

Peter Bredahl Dam is a professional nature photographer with over 10 years of experience in nature photography, corporate photography, and videography.
