If you've heard the name "St. Louis Strike Force" but aren't exactly sure who they are or what they do, here's your introduction.

The Strike Force brings together law enforcement agencies and investigators from across the region under one roof, creating a level of cooperation and information sharing that wasn't always possible when federal task force officers were spread throughout their individual agencies.

DEA, FBI, U.S. Marshals, ATF and local law enforcement all working together, along with experienced retired officers serving as analysts and other specialists.

It's essentially an all-star team of investigators and law enforcement professionals working together to target the people driving violent crime and major drug trafficking in the St. Louis area.

In our special Saturday edition of The Brighter Side of Blue, Tommy talked about the Strike Force and the outstanding work they're doing, including their role in the recent investigation that led to the arrest of BMF figure Chad Brown, known as J-Bo, and the seizure of 53 kilos of cocaine and two firearms.

That's just one example of the work coming out of this group.

The Strike Force has also played an important role in other major investigations, bringing investigators from different agencies together when additional resources and expertise were needed.

This is what law enforcement cooperation is supposed to look like.

Different agencies. Different expertise. One team working toward the same goal.
